CityNews: Rally For Medical Rights

POT TV – CityNews coverage of a protest at City Hall.

CityNews caught the protest outside Vancouver’s City Hall defending the rights of legacy medical cannabis dispensaries to serve patients.

Despite clear evidence dispensaries lower overdose rates, and a hugely unmet medical demand for cannabis products, the City of Vancouver has continued to enforce its decision on the closure of legacy cannabis dispensaries with arbitrary, prohibitionist zoning requirements.

Neil Magnuson, director of the Cannabis Substitution Project, was clear about the dire risk of shuttering safe drug access during an overdose epidemic. “Absolutely people are going to die.”
