OMAHA, Neb. -- The father of a 13-year-old middle school student is angry with his daughter's school.Alphonso Hall said administrators at Nathan Hale Middle School accused his daughter of taking drugs, but they can't back up their case.Sierra Hall was accused of drug possession when the school called her father. The told Alphonso Hall that his daughter had been seen smoking "a green, leafy substance," and Sierra Hall had been removed to the principal's office for five hours.

An American medical marijuana activist boarded a plane at the Vancouver airport to San Francisco on Thursday, ending his long fight against deportation from Canada. Canada's Immigration and Refugee Board ruled that Kubby did not have a well-founded fear of being persecuted or tortured, or that there was any risk to his life if he returned to the U.S. The board noted that California does permit the medical use of marijuana in some cases.

Investigators seized more than 650 marijuana plants from a Forest Lake, Minn. house on Saturday.Three men, ages 36, 37 and 38, were also arrested at the house in the 9700 block of 202nd Street North where the plants were seized.Investigators said the marijuana plants had a street value of $500,000.
