Michael Thompson was arrested for selling weed in 1994. He’s been in prison since then, and still has at least 40 years more to serve.
Despite being non-violent, an antique rifle, his wife’s gun, and 3lbs of weed added up to Thompson’s potential 60 year sentence, of which Thompson has served 25.
Michigan, where Michael was caught with the cannabis, now boasts record legal cannabis sales.
