POT TV – ABS TV Antigua reported on a cannabis license ceremony.
From prayer and song to ribbon-cutting, Grow Antigua Barbuda opened a ceremony and celebration for the first cannabis production license in the islands.
The license fees have reportedly been waved for Rastafarian groups.
Speakers gave thanks and discussed the hopes and concerns of cannabis production, including international banking and food security.
Though food and additional industry were concerns, Andrew Moody-Stuart, a partner in the trio-organization venture, is focused on medical marijuana and has stated a disinterest in industrial hemp.
Comments were raised about Moody-Stuart’s alleged family ties to colonial sugar production, and fears of repeated exploitation.
What will grow, and who will eat, in Antigua and Barbuda will be seen.
