From CTV News: "Crusaders pushing to legalize marijuana got a new ally today. BC's Chief Medical Health Officer and two of his colleagues in other provinces added their voices to a growing list of people calling for marijuana to be decriminalized. In a report, Dr. Perry Kendall says it is time for the Federal Government to start asking questions, such as how we could better restrict access to pot, is there a way of regulating and taxing it so the benefits come back to the Government, and society instead of into the hands of criminals.

Dr. Dave Allen, a former heart surgeon, is advising people to take a daily dose of cannabis for its health benefits in preventing strokes. "No other medicine made by man can help in this manner," he said.

From Reason.tv: Norman Smith seemed to be making progress in his liver cancer recovery at Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles, Calif. He had some of the best doctors in the world, he was on a transplant list and he had completed a successful clinical trial that had his doctors dubbing him a "miracle man." Then, his cancer returned and two months before he was would have received a transplant, he was de-listed for smoking marijuana prescribed by his oncologist at Cedars-Sinai. Now, if he doesn't receive a transplant, he will die.
