The Hemp & Cannabis Foundation files a lawsuit on behalf of Leroy Stubblefield, a quadriplegic Vietnam War veteran who had his Oregon state-licensed medical marijuana seized by a DEA agent. THCF sues the Drug Enforcement Administration, the US Justice Department and US Attorney General John Ashcroft, seeking an declaratory relief from the US federal court ordering the feds to leave state-licensed medical marijuana license-holders alone. In Oregon, the annual state license is US$150.

Ed "New Jersey Weedman" Forchion has been very active in the New Jersey/Pennsylvania area protesting marijuna prohibition. He ran for public office and then went to prison for 25 pounds. He got out after 17 months on the condition that he not advocate for marijuana legalization. Now, in a series of actions in NJ and these 6 versions of his new TV commercial, Ed is again standing for freedom of speech and freedom of conciousness. On Monday, August 19, Weedman was busted by his parole officer for these ads. Free Ed Forchion!

Los Angeles station KTLA covers a protest at the Los Angeles Cannabis Resource Center, a medical marijuana buyers' club that operated with the oversight of the West Hollywood city council. The DEA is escalating their war against US by trying to undermine medical marijuana ballot box victories of recent years by targeting doctors and caregivers.
