The global war on drugs has failed - that’s according to a commission that includes former UN Secretary General Kofi Annan and former U.S. Secretary of State George Schultz. A report released by the Global Commission on Drug Policy on Thursday calls for the legalization of marijuana and other controlled substances.

For the first time in Canadian history, medical marijuana dispensaries across the country have joined together and established the Canadian Association of Medicinal Cannabis Dispensaries (CAMCD).

CANNABIS CULTURE - Thousands parade through the streets of downtown Toronto for the 2011 Global Marijuana March. Princess of Pot Jodie Emery led the march, this year without her husband, activist Marc Emery. This will be the first year since 2006 that Marc was not in attendance, due to his arrest and imprisonment in the US for selling marijuana seeds in Canada.
