POT TV – Cult Cinema Classics shared the colorized cannabis propaganda film, The Marijuana Menace (Assassin of Youth 1937).
Joan Barry, a good girl trying to stay on the straight and narrow in order to receive an inheritance is caught up with dope-peddlers, delinquency, and ‘moral turpitude’, while reporter, Arthur Brighton, tries to break the story.
The film, re-released with a new title in a continued Reefer Madness campaign, promoted ‘murder by marijuana’, the association that cannabis would lead youth to psychosis and murder, or harder drugs and a life of misery.
