Set in the world of struggling, shady California cannabis after State-level legalization, The Last Deal follows dispensary owner, Vincent, through an ordeal of debt and danger after a dogged dope deal.
Though the film flashes a few flowers, the backdrop of bud business is all set and no smoke. The irony of the film’s lack of marijuana heart and culture was raised in a sly and seductive stand out performance from Audra Van Hees.
The true stories of those who’ve risked their lives for seeds deserves much more dank.
