Cannabis activist, Jodie Emery, explained the problem and solution.
Emery explained why so many user groups (medical, recreational, spiritual) are so upset, calling the system a “new criminalization regime that makes it only possible for the well-connected or wealthy to get licenses to sell or grow cannabis legally.” Despite “decades and decades” of passionate work, lotteries and needlessly harsh regulations, block Canadians.
The solution is in allowing the existing market and culture to come into legality, to regulate cannabis as cannabis.
