Marijuana Activist Faced 10 Years in Prison For Facebook Live ‘Wiretapping’

POT TV – The Real News Network spoke with Jake Burdett, a marijuana activist who faced two felony charges for broadcasting a peaceful protest.

Using a familiar drug-war tactic of pressured plea bargaining, prosecutors in Maryland attacked Jake Burdett over a protest of Rep. Andy Harris. The online broadcast of the protest led to charges of wiretapping, which carried a decade in prison, or lengthy probation.
