Cannabis Day is back at Thornton Park at Pacific Central Station in Vancouver this July 1, 2018.
The first Cannabis Day celebration in Vancouver was in 1996, but the protest goes back even further to the late 1970s. Read The History of Cannabis Day by marijuana activist David Malmo-Levine.
Cannabis Day includes a large Marijuana Farmers Market where vendors sell a rainbow of marijuana products and pot-infused edibles and other ganja goodies.
The celebration has traditionally taken place at the Vancouver Art Gallery but has found a new home at Thornton Park and Pacific Central Station – 1166 Main Street (at the corner of Main St. and Terminal Ave. – see map).
