POT TV – Atlanta votes to decriminalize cannabis.
After months of discussion and a heated debate, a gallery full of cannabis supporters were enthusiastic when a unanimous, 15-0, vote was passed to decriminalize cannabis possession in Atlanta. Possession under an ounce of cannabis will now be subject to a fine, rather than jail sentence.
There is currently no scheduled date for when the decriminalization will be signed into law.
