POT TV – WAFB reported on a man charged with forcing a 5 year old to smoke marijuana.
A common call for prohibitionists is a warning: Think of the children. Marijuana must remain illegal, and people criminalized for it, because of the danger to youth.
However, as shown in Baton Rouge, LA, there are already laws for endangering youth, and additional marijuana regulations don’t make kids any safer. Addressing why children may need medicine, or to be self medicating, is much more important than criminalizing peaceful, responsible adults.
No one should be forced to consume cannabis, or made to consume a powerful medicine without their informed and expressed consent.
