Talk Radio Cannabis Legalization Debate

POT TV – talkRADIO spoke with Peter Hitchens and Crispin Blunt about marijuana legalization.

Is cannabis an “extraordinarily dangerous drug”, as Peter Hitchens said?  Or is it medicine for people with MS, as Crispin Blunt said?

We’ll never know, because James Whale and Ash cut the debate short after constant interruptions.

What wasn’t aired properly in interruption was an accounting of the facts.

Peter Hitchens cited Attacker Smoked Cannabis, as reason to link marijuana to violence. ASC is a blog, which could easily be re-framed as “Attacker Wore Shoes” or “Attacker Drank Liquid”, as it draws a false causation argument with availability.

Hitchens also cited the work of Professor Sir Robin Murray about the link between cannabis and psychosis, but did not mention that Murray’s review of cannabis and psychosis does not properly exclude other drugs, like alcohol and tobacco, relies on false claims of THC potency increasing psychosis, and excludes decades of general population statistics that show an increase in cannabis consumption without an increase in related psychosis.

There’s no debate about over 20 years of cannabis research from POT.TV.
