Free Drugs Outside Police Station For Golden Ticket Holders

POT TV – The Drug User Liberation Front held a protest action in front of a Vancouver B.C. Police station.

Vancouver’s Drug User Liberation Front, and other harm reduction groups, gave away free drugs, including cocaine and heroin, to “Golden Ticket” holders. Tickets were given to drug user groups in protest of the City of Vancouver’s “Vancouver Model” of harm reduction, which critics complain does not address the issue of a safe drug supply.

Vancouver City Councilor, Jean Swanson, who supported the demonstration and assisted handing out drugs, asked. “If DULF and VANDU, with hardly any resources, can give away free and safe drugs, why can’t governments which have billions in their budgets?”

Neil Magnuson, director of The Cannabis Substitution Project, which has given away a safe supply of cannabis to alleviate the overdose crisis for four years told POT TV. “Cannabis is supposed to be legal, but we’ve been waiting for Health Canada to give us some type of permission to save lives for months. It’s shameful.”

Protesters marched from East Cordova St. to VANDU’s East Hastings location for a block party following the giveaway.
