POT TV – The CBC offers a public forum on youth and cannabis.
Won’t somebody please think of the children?
Seriously. Why didn’t anyone on this panel really think about youth and cannabis seriously. Do they really need more discussions about discussion? Is it educational to say ‘we need education?’ (Hint: Teaching young people how to smoke pot safely is a lot better than talking about talking to them.)
How will young people ever understand cannabis? (Hint: Take one small puff, and wait one minute. Repeat based on your comfort with the effects.)
How can parents teach young people to avoid addiction? (Hint: Your parents like things that feel good, too. We all do. They’re just worried that’s all you’ll do. Cannabis isn’t addictive, but anything can become a bad habit if it doesn’t help you grow.)
At the 1:11:40 min mark author, activist and Big Life subject, David Malmo Levine, asks about general population statistics, and why a fifty year increase in cannabis use hasn’t led to any increase in psychosis. The panel’s answer is very educational about cannabis education.
