TRENTON, N.J. — Proponents and opponents of a medical marijuana law are gathering in Trenton for a Senate committee hearing.
The New Jersey Compassionate Use Medical Marijuana Act would allow certain chronically ill patients to use no more than 1 ounce of marijuana medicinally. The drug would be prescribed by a doctor, and the program would be monitored by the state Health Department.
